Usually Thai people favorite food is spicy .Thai food a typical Thai meal includes four main seasonings: salty, sweet, sour, and spicy. I like salty and spicy. I like “Tomyumkoung” and “papaya Pok Pok” very much. Probably one of the most famous Thai dishes around the world is the one called tom yum kung. In English, it is sometimes called Hot and Sour Shrimp Soup or Lemongrass and Shrimp Soup. I took the above photograph at Pornsiri Kitchen in Samut Prakan this afternoon. This version has shrimp, but you could also cook it with chicken if you like. The basic ingredients are all the same. Shrimp, straw mushrooms, lightly crushed hot red chilis, sliced galangal, lemongrass stems, torn kaffir lime leaves, coriander, and seasoned with fish sauce, sugar and some lime juice. Use chicken stock to make up the soup. It is very quick and easy to make. In the supermarkets in Thailand, you can buy the starter kit with most ingredients for only about 8 baht! papaya pok-pok... is basically Thai papaya salad... not many people call it papaya pok-pok though... they usually call it 'papaya salad' in English or 'som-tam' in Thai..The reason why some people refers to it as 'papaya pok-pok' is because of the sound it makes... They use mortar and pestle to make it and 'pok pok' is the Thai onomotopea of the pestle hitting the mortar..Papaya salad contains mainly raw papaya.. + some tomatoes, nuts and chillies.. tastes sweet, sour and spicy.. Eating in Thai style is not difficult, but rather different from the western world. Many foreigners trying to eat in thai way enjoyed the exquisite taste of Thai food.

My favorite Thai food is pad thai or Thai Fried Noodles because to be food is very good. First to be added to the wok are the noodles. These are stir-fried for a few minutes. Next is added the dried shrimp, tofu and minced Chinese raddish. Again this is mixed and stir-fried for a few minutes.
The ingredients are now pushed to one side and an egg is cracked into the wok. She cooked the egg for a minute or so before breaking it up and mixing it in with the noodles. Finally a sprinkling of chopped chives and a generous layer of breansprouts are placed on top. This is not mixed in with the noodles. It is now ready to serve. The finally layer is the ground roasted peanuts. She placed all of this into a container with some spring onions, half a lime and a little plastic bag containing chili and sugar.
Although pad thai is cooked just about everywhere, people will cross to the other side of town just to get their favourite recipe.
